Who do you call for after-death cleaning in Shrewsbury?

Updated: 20 hours ago
A death in a Shrewsbury house leaves the family with a list they did not ask for. The funeral director takes one part. The solicitor may take another. The house itself still has to be made safe before anyone can go back in and sort belongings, or before a landlord can think about the next tenancy.
That call does not need to be made to a general cleaner. After-death cleaning in Shrewsbury is clinical disinfection. Shropshire Expert Cleaners LTD do that work with our sister company, Shropshire Disinfection Services LTD, trading as Sanondaf Shropshire. We cover Shrewsbury from our Telford office, including the town and the villages around it. Once the house is released
We do not attend while police or a coroner's officer still have the property. When the family, the landlord or the solicitor is told the house can be entered, that is the point to call. You do not have to walk through it first. The visit can be with you there or without you.
The work is quiet. No talk of the circumstances on the doorstep. What we do inside is one job. Affected mattresses, sofas, beds and carpets that cannot be saved are taken for licensed disposal, with the paperwork. That is the biohazard clearance and, where the family wants the house emptied, the ordinary clearance as well. Surfaces that can stay are scrubbed down by hand with a high-spectrum disinfectant, and stains are worked until they lift or the item is listed for removal. Google is 5.0 from 55 reviews. Bark is 5 stars from 60.
How the house is treated
The solution is an NHS-validated, silver-ion hydrogen peroxide. It is formaldehyde-free. It breaks down to water and oxygen. It is safe on electrical items left switched on, and on soft furnishings that are staying.
Dry fog first, so the fine mist follows the air into corners, machines and the gaps a wipe misses. Electrostatic spraying then coats the surfaces that remain. That is not the end of it. A manual scrub-down follows, with the same high-spectrum disinfectant, on walls, floors, frames and anything that can be saved. This is extreme deep cleaning, well beyond a standard deep clean. A final fog on the way out catches what the air has moved. Log 6, up to 99.9999%. We do not describe the room. The certificate is the record.
If a house clearance is needed as well, that is the same visit. Contaminated mattresses, sofas, beds and carpets leave with us. Ordinary furniture and household waste are listed separately. The clearance page is https://www.shropshirecleaners.expert/house-clearance-services-telford-shrewsbury
Shrewsbury Properties and Local Detail
Shrewsbury's mix of housing affects how after-death cleaning is carried out. Listed and timber-framed buildings in the town centre need care with old floors and plaster. Flats within the river loop and above shops on streets such as Mardol and Castle Street have shared access and limited parking. Family homes in Meole Brace, Belle Vue, Monkmoor and Copthorne, and newer estates in Shrewsbury's outskirts, have their own layouts and flooring. Villages such as Bayston Hill, Pontesbury, Baschurch, Ford and Hanwood are covered too.
Who to Call First
The police or a GP, if the death has only just been discovered.
A funeral director, who will take the person into their care.
A specialist cleaner, once the property is released. That is the point at which Shropshire Expert Cleaners can attend.
A solicitor or the executor, if the property is part of an estate. The solicitors' cleaning and clearance page explains how the company supports this.
